ATIR STRAP is a professional CAD program specialized in performing structural analysis on static and dynamic elements, useful for engineers who need to study bridges, buildings, towers or other structures in detail.
User interface
The main window of the program adopts a multi-tabbed layout where you can check out the models included in the current directory, sorted alphabetically, by date or number.
You can preview the model at the bottom of the primary panel and get statistics about it, such as type and number of nodes, beams, elements, solids, supports, properties, submodels, and notes.
Additionally, a small icon is revealed near each model signaling its current status, namely only geometry has been defined, geometry and loads have been processed, model has been solved for static loads, or model has been generated for dynamic mode shapes.
Defining and revising a model
The tool gives you the freedom to revise a model by solving the current model (starts the solution for the highlighted model), several models (solves models in series) or mode shapes (calculates the dynamic mode shapes). It is able to handle very large models while offering advanced features to play with, such as tension and compression, unidirectional springs, non-linear springs and others.
You can copy and rotate a part of a model while the utility automatically eliminates duplicate beams and nodes, create a mesh of elements, generate solid elements from existing plate elements, as well as make use of a built-in library for shaping up your model.
File management options
You can create a new model, print or delete data, copy the info to another directory or copy from another directory, make a copy of a model, change the current working directory, copy data to ZIP file format, unzip a model, display all model files, add a file to model list, recover model geometry, and search for a model.
Setup options
ATIR STRAP gives you the possibility to pick the colors for graphic lines (e.g. beams, elements, various loads), text associated with each graph line, background, contour map fill, and steel postprocessor capacity. GEN-PRO is a powerful CAD program for structural analysis and design. Its unique user-friendly interface makes it quick and easy to work with Gen-Pro. Use it to analyze loads, stresses, deflections, thermal stresses, creep and fatigue, but also for 3D structural graphics, engineering drawings and presentations.

User interface
The main window of the program adopts a tabbed, multi-functional layout with a real-time interactive response. Modeling and engineering design capabilities are available in a series of tabs:
Actions – enables you to manage projects, perform actions on a project, calculate and view statistics, export data to engineering software, etc.
Analysis – represents a set of analysis functions, capable of performing static and dynamic analyses on static and dynamic structures. A typical job is to find the critical elements or elements of interest for specific problems.
Input – is a toolbox for initializing structural design in Gen-Pro. It contains graphs, charts, tables and boxes for setting up material properties, loads, shafts, cross sections, etc.
Visualization – displays selected components in a 3D scene, isolating and rotating them. Displayed components can be selected to be in focus.
Results – the final statistics and reports of analysis and design. A final chart is produced with information about geometry and loads.

Defining and revising a model
A tool bar with buttons for modeling operations is placed above the modeling area. You may click the tools to perform them. The settings of the tools are listed in an additional pop-up menu. You may also perform additional manipulations on the selected object by clicking on the mouse.
The main operations are:
New – initiates a new project.
Open – allows you to open a project file or a project group from the disk or the network.
Save – saves a project to the disk or creates a project group.
Save As… – allows you to save a project to the disk in a specified folder
